My Words for 2026: Connection, Fulfilment, Alignment & Richness

There's something about the start of a new year that invites us to pause, reflect, and set intentions for the months ahead. For me, 2026 isn't about strict resolutions or pressure-filled goals—it's about choosing words that will guide how I want to feel, how I want to show up, and what I want to call into my life.

This year, my words are connection, fulfilment, alignment, and richness. Not the kind of richness measured in bank accounts (though I'm not saying no to that either), but richness in the truest sense—richness in relationships, in experiences, in the way I live my days.

Connection

Connection has always been at the heart of everything I do. Whether it's the relationships I build with my clients in the chair, the conversations we share, or the way I connect with myself through reflection and intention, this word feels like home to me.

In 2026, I want to deepen those connections. I want to be fully present—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. I want to create space for meaningful conversations, to listen deeply, and to nurture the relationships that matter most. Connection isn't just about being with others; it's about truly seeing them, and allowing myself to be seen too.

Fulfilment

Fulfilment is about doing work that lights me up, spending time in ways that feel meaningful, and honouring what truly matters to me. It's about saying yes to the things that align with my values and gently saying no to the things that don't.

As a freelance hairdresser, I have the freedom to shape my days in a way that feels good. This year, I want to lean into that even more—choosing projects and clients that inspire me, carving out time for creativity, and allowing myself to explore what brings me joy beyond the salon chair.

Alignment

Alignment is the practice of checking in with myself regularly and asking: Does this feel right? Is this where I want to be? Am I moving in the direction of my values?

It's easy to get swept up in the hustle, to say yes when we mean no, or to keep doing things simply because that's what we've always done. Alignment is about pausing, recalibrating, and making choices that honour who I am and who I'm becoming.

This year, I'm committed to living in alignment—whether that's in my work, my relationships, or the way I spend my time. It's about trusting my intuition and giving myself permission to change course when something no longer feels right.

Richness

And then there's richness. This word feels like the thread that ties everything together.

Richness is about living a life that feels full—not in the sense of being busy or overwhelmed, but in the sense of being deeply nourished. It's about savouring the small moments, romanticising the everyday, and finding beauty in the ordinary. It's about surrounding myself with people who lift me up, experiences that feed my soul, and work that feels meaningful.

It's also about abundance—yes, financial abundance, but also abundance in love, in laughter, in creativity, and in connection. I'm calling in richness in all its forms this year, because I believe we're meant to live fully, joyfully, and without apology.

What I'm Calling In

This year, I'm also calling in something a little special. I've been working on something behind the scenes—a way to help you connect more deeply with yourself, to uncover what brings you joy and fulfilment, and to live in greater alignment with your values. It's a course I'm launching, and I can't wait to share more with you soon.

Because here's the thing: when we take the time to understand ourselves—our desires, our values, our boundaries—we create space for richness to flow into every area of our lives.

A Year of Intention

2026 feels full of possibility. It feels like a year to slow down, to savour, to be intentional. It feels like a year to call in richness in all its beautiful, messy, abundant forms.

So here's to connection, fulfilment, alignment, and richness. Here's to living with intention, to honouring what matters, and to creating a year that feels deeply, truly good.

What are your words for 2026? I'd love to hear what you're calling in this year.
